Privacy Policy (English)

Version 2.1 · Effective October 25, 2026 · Applies to the After Vision Windows app and Photoshop plugin.

Summary. Cutout, depth estimation and local 3D generation run entirely on your own computer; no image is uploaded and no account is needed for these features. Cloud features (Refine, Image generation, Cloud 3D) require an account and are billed in credits. Images are relayed through our own servers to the generation services — you neither need nor are able to enter any third-party account, key or endpoint.

Who we are. After Vision is developed and operated by an individual developer, Tianwei Tan. Contact: tlvzz777@gmail.com.

Local-only features. Background removal (BiRefNet), depth estimation (MoGe-2), local 3D generation, mesh simplification, texture baking, OBJ/glTF export, model import, viewport and lighting controls all run offline on your machine. No data is transmitted.

Cloud features. Each of the following runs only when you trigger it, and each is billed in credits:

• Refine: the selected image or selection (including the mask), the chosen workflow identifier and its parameters. Relayed through our servers to a third-party cloud workflow platform.
• Image generation: your prompt and reference images, relayed through our servers to a third-party image generation service.
• Cloud 3D: the selected image and texture options, relayed through our servers to a third-party 3D generation service.

How long images stay on our servers. While a job is queued, the image is held on the server. As soon as the job is submitted to the generation service, the image is deleted from the job record; only job state and a temporary result URL remain. Results are hosted by the generation service and returned via a link valid for about 10 minutes. We do not keep copies of your images or results.

Image upload for Refine. By default the image is uploaded straight to the generation service's own object storage under a signature issued by our server; no third-party file host is involved. Only if you supply your own third-party credentials and that direct upload fails does the app fall back to a temporary public file host (litterbox.catbox.moe or tmpfiles.org), which normally deletes files after about one hour. We cannot control or guarantee third-party retention. For sensitive imagery, use the default channel and do not supply your own credentials.

Account, credits and usage records. Registration requires an email address and a password only. We store: the email address; a salted scrypt hash of your password (never the plaintext); a hash of your session token with its expiry (30 days, revoked on sign-out); the credit ledger (every grant, reservation, charge and refund); job records (job id, feature, state, credits charged, timestamps, error message); redemption records (where a code is used), and a top-up record for each credit grant (amount, time and the administrator who issued it). We do not collect names, phone numbers, identity documents, addresses or payment card data. Credits currently arrive in two ways: by redeeming a code in the panel's "Account" section, or by requesting them through the contact details shown in the app, after which an administrator issues them. The app itself takes no online payments and we do not process any payment instrument data; if you buy a redemption code from a third-party code-selling platform, the transaction and its payment data are handled by that platform, and we receive only the redemption result.

What we do not collect. No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs; no crash or usage reporting to our servers; no reading of files unrelated to your use; no access to your Photoshop document except the layer or canvas you explicitly select and submit.

Local data. Settings, preferences, your login token and email, model library indexes, image result cache and logs are stored under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\<packagefamily>\LocalState\data. Except for the login token, this data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes this folder; you may also delete it at any time.

Storage and international transfer. Account, ledger and job records are stored on servers we operate outside mainland China. When you use a cloud feature, the image is relayed from your computer through our servers to the generation service, which may involve a cross-border transfer of data. Using a cloud feature indicates your awareness of and consent to that transfer. All traffic uses HTTPS; passwords are stored as salted hashes; upstream service credentials exist only on the server and are never included in any client installer.

Microsoft Store. If installed from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft collects install, update and (with your consent) diagnostic data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We have no access to that data.

Retention and deletion. Local data is kept until you delete it or uninstall. Account, ledger and job records are kept until you close your account, at which point they are deleted together (except records we are legally required to retain). Queued images are deleted on submission or on failure. Results are retained by the generation service under its own policy. Children. This is a professional tool not directed to children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated version number and effective date.
